Orysi creams and lotions are made from plant based products, carrier oils, fragrance oils and essential oils. Creams, lotions and moisturizers are used to protect and nourish the skin.

What is the difference between lotions and creams?

Lotions are thinner in consistency and are used more often to cover large areas of the body such as legs, arms and torso. Creams are thicker and are generally used for face, hands and for feet.

Why use Carrier Oils and Essential Oils.

Since moisturizers are made to penetrate the surface of the skin, it is an ideal way to use essential oils (therapeutic ingredients). Essential Oils and carrier oils all have different properties and aid in different skin types and ailments. An example of this would be our E & P Cream which is great for eczema and psoriasis. The essential oil of Chamomile (German and Roman) have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Lavender also has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties that have a balancing effect on the skin. Carrier oils are referred to as vegetable oils and base oils. I use Perilla Seed Carrier Oils for it is rich in vitamins and amino acids. Known to have antiseptic properties which makes this a good oil for facial products. Retains moisture in the skin and hair. Aids in treatment of skin disorders.
